Rinehart-Marsden Studio - Omaha, NE

Description

The Rinehart-Marsden Studio was opened by Frank A. Rinehart in 1885. In 1898, Rinehart was the official photographer of the Trans-Mississippi Exposition held in Omaha. This was just a mere 22 years after the “Battle of The Little Big Horn” and only 8 years after the “Wounded Knee Massacre”. A part of Rinehart's duties was to produce photographic portraits of the some 500 Native American Indians who were invited to participate in the Trans-Mississippi Exposition.
